How we do it:

We want to create an open forum for young people to enjoy and share learning experiences; we want young people to create better futures for themselves and their community:

To do this we are setting up one of the first youth-led organisation in Tower Hamlets. All the management committee are young people from18-25 and all live in or work in the local area. We sit together and write our organisations structures, policies and we decide what activities we want to hold where. We learn together how to raise funds, how to manage our organisation and community building.

All members have the opportunity to organise and attend exciting and high profile events and to go on learning visits all of which will help you develop the understanding and skills you need to become a successful public leader and really shape your future.

Governance Sessions: are an insight into how to organisation’s structure themselves, and deliver services. We also empower young people to get involved in decision-making processes enabling them to get involved in policies that affect their community. Identify key players in your area and the work they do. Learn ways to build partnerships with key service providers and influence their work.

You will gain experience and skills in delivering and running meetings, writing policies and procedures, learn about the legal issues related to building your own organisation. We can help you run your own project, and set up your own social enterprise, we provide you with the tools to build your capacity to develop your own ideas.

Community Projects: You will have the opportunity to develop your own ideas and apply your learning through leading a project aimed at making your community a better place to live, where everyone is sharing resources together. These training support members write their own funding bids to start up their project ideas.

Past Projects have been: Community Movie Nights, Performance in the green, Annual sports event, music and creative arts workshops, and many more..
