We provide young people with the opportunity to become peer workers and support Leaders in Community spread the LiC model and ideas on youth leadership, engagement and empowerment both locally and nationally.

- You will receive admin training and finance training, governance training and sit on our Management Committee
- How to write project plans and write small pot bids to grant funders.
We train young people to become leaders in their community, and therefore an opportunity to give back to their community, become role models and take ownership of the resources in their local community. This helps you gain knowledge about how service providers work and you have the opportunity to influence the way they engage with your community including young people.
Over the last 3 Year LiC young people have made public presentations to audiences including MPs Hazel Blears, Phil Hope and various influential people. As a result we have travelled to Manchester, Chester, Leicester and of course in Tower Hamlets, you can be part of the team, that not only empowers your peers but also people in the position of power.
All this will: help you gain knowledge of how services in your area work and how you can make a difference. As part of the work you do, LiC will help create a portfolio of work, write up CVs, cover letters and we will introduce you to organizations’ such as Tower Hamlets council, Poplar HARCA, Community Matters, Youth Bank, Tenants Management Organizations across London and England, Department for Communities and Local Government and many more...
